Boys IC U13 25Oct09

 Leicestershire Boys U13 travelled to Lumb Farm Squash Club for the first of this seasons U13 inter county tournaments. In the first match against Nottinghamshire all of the boys put in top performances to win the tie 5-0. Derbyshire had a depleted team of three players so we went in 2-0 up before hitting a ball in the second tie. James Payne at 1, Joe Sibley at 2 and Ben Wykes at 3 carried on with the mornings success and won their games convincingly, so another 5-0 to Leicestershire. The final match was against a strong North Wales side. Jack Crawfords county debut culminated in the most gutsy performance of the day but not quite enough to get the better of his more experienced opponent. The only winner against the team to beat was Ben Wykes who got a three from three result over the day. Leicestershire finished in second place, enough to keep us in the top group for the second fixture in January. Well done and thank you to all the chaps for a top performance and great effort.
